EAST REGION BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
DEPARTMENT

STATUS
SALARY/EXEMPT low 40k plus commission
REPORTS TO:
VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES
SUMMARY
To ensure that the company achieves established sales and sponsoring goals each month through accomplishing the following:
· Daily & weekly contact with field leaders. Responsible for tracking, motivating and supporting assigned field leaders in order for them to meet their monthly sales & sponsoring goals.
· Responsible for meeting monthly company targets for sales and sponsoring.
· Must be resourceful and support the field with product and business knowledge. Establish a professional relationship with the field to provide full support for each leader to expand/grow their business.
· Responsible for providing feedback, comments and any issues from the field to the company for better understanding of the market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
· Communicate with the field, identify new leaders and support current leaders. Help them set/attain their business goals and to practice duplication in their organization.
· Conduct product and business training to the field.
· Organize, coordinate and conduct events, functions and meetings at NJ Branch Office
· Occasional travel to conduct product or business training and to attend leader meetings as a company representative
· Help to identify and support potential new leaders and help to develop their skills to be successful leaders.
· Communicate with key leaders on a daily and/or weekly basis to:
o Discuss their business
o Track their progress
o Help overcome their challenges
o Train on needed skill sets.
o Motivate leaders and their downlines to build larger networks in their organizations
· Handle phone calls relating to products and business (Bonus checks, Compensation Plan, campaigns, incentive trips, as well as leads coming in via phone, fax, mail, e-mail and the Web.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
· Provide/translate feedback & comments received from the field on competitive company’s market trends, sales strategy & hot new products in the industry.
· Support for Bonus verification, genealogy, incentive programs, director's verification.
· Responsible for Branch Office activities and events, maintaining working inventory of products, display materials, an operational knowledge of audio and video equipment and occasional cleaning.
WILL CALL/WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Process orders for pick up by consultants
Receive product stock from corporate headquarters
Stock and label shelves in warehouse
Count inventory on a quarterly basis
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Have a comprehensive understanding of all products and the Compensation Plan and be able to communicate the information to the field (will train).
· Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions and company policy.
· Computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, Internet
· High-level people skills, professionalism, and management skills in order to be an efficient business manager for consultants and leaders.
· Constant self-education including reading books, materials, articles on beauty, MLM and the direct selling industry.
· Possess good presentation and training skills and the ability to speak in front of groups.
· Ability to travel overnight to conduct meetings and trainings.
· Availability for weekend hours for company and/or field activities and events.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
· Must have the ability to interact well with superiors, co-workers, field and understand work rules and procedures.
· Ability to achieve the professional confidence of others and to elicit cooperation from others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
· Work in a professional office environment and adhere to company dress code to maintain a professional appearance.
· Sitting for long periods of time, standing for long periods of time when conducting conferences, meetings & other events
· Talking and listening for long periods of time via phone and in-person during appointments, meetings & trainings
· Moving/rearranging tables, chairs in the training rooms, carrying flip charts, products to and from training room, etc.
· Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
